GS400 owner wants to race for $1000...
He has NO mods. Bone stock.
Claims he will whip me, and wants to come up here next wednesday to set the record straight and do it.
I know how to drive my car, and I've beaten 3+ GS400's, post mods.
What do you guys think?

I wouldn't do it unless I was 110% positive I'd win...
I've never ran a GS, so I can't really say.

Do it, but always remember--as fast as your car is, there are many factors that can cause the race to be lost and are totally out of your control
...But personally - I'd do it, I raced one before ( and I posted it a while ago "Lost to a GS400, BUT" Ive been practicing--
W/ your mods you should do it easily

Its this chick that I have job training with, its one of her boys.

I guess it will happen somewhere around here.

He doesn't know about my mods. I saw him and his car on wednesday. he told this girl that he'd KILL my car. And to tell me that he's coming up next wednesday again.
Its a 2000 black GS400.
I've never ran at the track, just street raced alot. I'm pretty sure I got one of the "FAST" Type S's.

I have headers and an intake and I raced a GS400. He took off a little stronger than I did, (I wasn't sure he was going to race so I feathered it) but I started to reel him in a little. I say go for it. If he's truly bone stock, I think you should be able to win.. Just barely, but I think it's doable.
Also, make sure the day you run, it's cool outside. You know how much our cars love warm weather

Understand for 1k$, there are no excuses. Who wins wins, LAUNCH is everything for cars this close in acceleration. What distance are ya'll running is important too.

Make sure he's not shooting...I know if I go to somebody and bet them a G note, I know for a fact that I have it covered...GS against CL-S is a drivers' race, not a sure thing to be losing a G for...
round here, they hide N2O so well, that they could point to the bottle and you still wouldn't see it...

I personnaly would'nt do it !!! I have a GS400 and RAN STOCK 14.4 in the 1/4 so you better get a very good lauch!!! I am not sure what your car would do at the track but in a street race theres no tree light so if he gets the jump you we lose a G and I can tell you I can't afford to lose that type of money just for a race! But if you decide to race him let us all know what happen. Just tell him you will do it for a 100.00 instead!

THE FACT THAT HE DIDN'T ASK YOU WHAT YOU HAD DONE TO YOUR CAR SHOULD SET OFF A RED FLAG. IF HE IS DRIVING A 2000 GS400 HE WOULD HAVE NO TROUBLE DROPPING A FEW THOUSAND IN MODS IN A WEEKS TIME.INSPECT HIS CAR THOROUGHLY AND TAKE HIS MONEY

I think it is going to be close between a modded CL-S and GS400 from 0-100 after that i would say the GS400 will start creeping on the CL-S no matter what, unless the CL-S is on Boost or NOS. I raced a Stock GS430 when i had my CL-S with all the mods and i took him to 100mph and thank god we had to shut down because we ran out of road on the Key bridge, but i can tell u this, he was coming. So make sure u the race will end by 100 at the most. By 120 I'm Sure he would be by ur side or ahead of you especially if you are Auto.

more updates to come. We're not sure about doing this on wed, due to the fact that there are TONS of cops out cuz of the shootings up here.
May have to do it next weekend, he mentioned the toll road.
