Actually, it is more like 12ft and I only use high quality audio grade 4ga wire, and gold plated terminals. Good luck putting that together for $20.

I know he also added a 4 ga wire directly from the alternator to the battery positive.

I think doing the "Big 3" is pretty much what it is and it's quite popular in the car audio world. All you have to do is buy 10 feet of 0/1 gauge wire some connectors and then cut to size and solder to the ends. Then connect engine to battery negative, chassis to battery negative, alternator positive to battery positive.
Usually people do this to eliminate the light dimming issue with their high current audio systems. Maybe it does help with something else but personally I think it's worth to make it yourself. Cost me about $25 CDN to make it with 10ft of Lightning Audio 0 gauge square wire and 6 connectors. You might need some solder and one of those little lighter torches but I had that already.
It does surprise me sometimes what people sell and make a living on but if there's a crowd out there to go for it why the hell not then.

When I first stated making these I placed a DIY post on my350Z.com. I included everything you needed to know on what materials to use, where to get them, and how much. I even posted a complete install how-to. I just figured I would share the knowledge.
People just started asking me to make the kits for them because they didn’t have the time or inclination. One thing lead to another as they say.
Oh, and trust me, I far from make a living on these. I do have a real day job.

Well, I tried contacting an Admin and also sent an email to the website. I haven't heard back from anyone.
I guess one way to get their attention is to go ahead and make a GP offer.
If anyone wants a Grounding Kit feel free to email me directly (SziTech at sbcglobal.net)

SziTech - I just sent you an e-mail - I'm going to be doing some electrical work on my CL in the new year so I'd like to order a set if you're still making them for our cars - black preferably.

Sorry to bring an old thread to life, but i was considering buying a cheap ground kit ($10-15). I'm still skeptical about any potential performance gains. Anyone have any comments?

If you're looking for performance gains there are much better ways to spend your money. After you've invested in headers, intake, pulleys, and a supercharger, then maybe think about a grounding kit. The performance increase is pretty minimal.
