Greddy Evo2 cat-back exhaust, options.

I just bought a CL-s and it has a Greddy Evo2 cat-back exhaust with Comptech headears. I think the exhaust is way too loud. I would rather just have the stock exhaust. Is there any way to modify this exhaust to silence it? What would be the best place to get the stock exhaust? Are there cheap new aftermarket options available that would give more stock sound? There is not a lot of info about this CL out there. I don't think the Greddy exhaust is even sold anymore. What do you think it would be worth to re-sell?

Get a stock cat back from a junkyard and sell your catback. You'll probably make some $. Look at carpart.com. If you don't care about power you could put the stock headers back on and sell your comptech headers.....they go for 5-600 used. But you will loose some good hp.

Yeah the evo2 isn't for everyone. My wife hates driving in my car! My greddy just cracked the other day so I may be in need of a replacement rather than trying to patch it. Lmk if youre interested in selling, I also have my stock exhaust as well.

I have a local guy that wants to trade, he bought a CLS6 from an insurance auction, blown head gasket. We pulled the exhaust and the tops of the mufflers were rotted. He is supposed to be getting me a stock exhaust from a junk yard to trade. If it does not work out soon I will let you guys know. I really want to get rid of these fart cans. I know some people like it, and they were expensive, and seems like you can't even buy the Greddy any more.

Do you think it makes sense to keep the comptech headers with stock exhaust? I told him I will trade out everything, since I just plan to flip the car pretty soon and move on to the next thing. Buyers are scared of mods, but if it's stock exhaust with headers I don't think anyone would notice, and maybe a bit more power.

If you're planning on getting rid of the car then sell the headers for sure. Grab stock headers from the junk yard as well. Is your car auto?

You can make a profit if you are willing to trade out the headers. If you're too lazy or want to just keep the extra power with the car, you can leave the headers in. I dont think a normal buyer should be able to tell they aren't stock. Header will still yield a pretty large power gain with the stock mufflers.

Why are you selling the car already if you just bought it?

The headers are definitely worth keeping while youre driving the car. Night and day difference. Lmk if he takes too long on the exhaust, mine is just sitting in the garage. FYI the comptechs are a money maker and I would not just swap those out. Way too hard to find now since no one wants to give theirs up.
