the rear differential is an open diff. If it were locking or limited slip you would have been fine.

Jelly and Rodney walked to a hick's house for help, and he threatened to shoot them with his rifle because he thought they were members of al Qaida. Luckily, 2 other hicks, in a powerful F350 Heavy Duty, Diesel powered V8 came and pulled us out using their steal cable lines. I decided I had enough Lake action for 1 trip, and we went to find a camping area elsewhere.

Well, you assumed they were hicks, and they assumed you were Al Qaida. Guess you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover huh?.

Yeah right, when you're stuck, you're stuck... There was no TRACTION, and he was simply sinking... if he had a limited slip or locking differential, all it would have done is make himself dig more into the mud. The only way to get out of such a situation is:

1) Getting pulled out
2) Using a winch, or a pull pal
3) Lifting the truck with a high-lift jack and stuffing traction aids under the wheels.
