governor
hey, does anybody know how to take the governor off? i was driving down to houston and south padre and i hit it at 150 lots of times, just wondering. please no flames. there was NOBODY on the road. thanks

I believe it's part of the ECU and can't be changed without re-programming the ECU.

Are you guys even sure these cars have speed limiters? 147 sounds about right for a drag-limited top speed to me.

Dude, be careful. Like someone said earlier, the stock tires cant handle that kind of speed for too long. Also some cars (dont know if the cls is one or not) are limited by aerodynamics as well and are very unsafe at 140+. Had a buddy that had an old 442 in high school that went airborne at 155. Dont have that buddy any more. Keep in mind that a jet takes off at like 210 mph.
