Got my tranny installed in only 4 days!

4 working days that is. Tranny died last Tuesday and it was finished today (being Monday). Not bad at all considering I was number 4 on the list at the dealer. Apparently the long waits are over and Acura is kicking out trannys like a mutha?!?!?
For those of you on your 2nd or 3rd tranny, did you break it in easy like the engine break in period?? Does a transmission need a break-in period?

Re: Got my tranny installed in only 4 days!

Took mine in Last Monday, got it back that Friday. Not bad. Tranny doesn't really feel different, it just doesn't SLIP: I'm Happy. Let's hope it Last. Here's the Question. Tranny replaced at 31K. 7 Years / 100,000 miles. Correct. This doesn't start over with the New Tranny, Just on the Tranny does it ?

I wouldn't think so, but just asking.

i asked my service writter and he said its 7/100,000 from the cars original tranny. he could be wrong. i think every tranny should have a 7/100,000.

I'd like that too, but highly doubt that's going to happen. Or is this actually the case?
