Got my Ingalls Stiffy, look in here if you have a CUSCO strut brace

Install went smooth, but the Cusco brace WILL NOT FIT with this mod. The bracket that sits on top of the strut tower, the bolts that go through are not long enough. You can just barely start the thread on them, and they WILL strip out if you try and tighten them. I was not going to risk have a potentially loose strut bar, so i just left the Cusco bar off for now. I'm going to keep a look out for a comptech strut bar, they are hard to come by though, since they are discontinued.

Driving impressions in about 2 hours when i get back from doing a drive.

I have a Cusco bar too, and was about to pull the trigger on the ingalls stiffy mount. So does it seem like with longer bolts everything will work? Because thats an easy fix. I really want this to work, can you take some pics? Thanks

Got back from my drive. Very nice addition, i highly recommend it. No additional noises or vibration noticed, but much better traction, and a lot less wheel hop. I have it on the factory stiffness setting, so if you change this to stiffer, you may notice some additional noises or vibration

I dont see any negatives to adding this, other than losing the ability to use a cusco strut bar if you have one.

As far as adding longer bolts, i dont think it can be done. The studs come out of the strut hat and i think are part of the hat itself, so those cannot be changed.

I was wondering about the stud lenth's too.
I think the studs on the nex's may be a little shorter than the factory top hat studs.
How thick is the mounting plate ?

There's got to be a way to make this work...

Longer bolts? Trim the bracket a little? I want this new mount, but I don't want to give up my Cusco brace either. I can only imagine the benefits of the ingalls mount, hell the nrg dampers made a big difference. So I'm sold on that part of the deal.
I have new coils with there own tophats (F2) maybe it will be different for me. I'm looking at the pictures of my car and the installed pics of the ingalls mount and I don't "see" a problem. Looks like I might just say F-it and make it work.

comptech bar being any better with the stiffy mount LMFAO, same issues, basically studs are on the short side (for the oem tophat)
but yeah i still need to do something about mine also being on the short side also , nuts are only about half engaged btw

, and it still flexes some itself (from the amount of force), especially when you watch it when you are torgue braking the motor on a auto)

Update!!!

I went ahead and picked up the Ingalls kit to see if I could make it work with the Cusco strut tower bar...

The op I'm guessing has stock tophats since it didn't fit.
Well it fit for me.
I have F2 coilovers that come with their own tophats. They have longer studs compared to the stock suspension which I still have in the garage and compared... The F2's are a good 1/2 inch longer. The strut mount nut in the corner that holds the Cusco bar needs a few washers to be level with the other two nuts that now have the Ingalls bracket pushing them up. Other than that it worked out just fine. Take a look:
