Got Ingalls Ball joint and camber kit installed. PLEASE HELP

okay, after fixing my problem with my headers, I am confronted with another. I got my camber kit in the rear installed and balljoints in the front. Everything was from ingalls. Apparently its very high quality stuff.

Anyways, the tune shop says they did the install correctly, but everytime I hit a slight hole or bump, I here a loud "TOCK!" from the front right side..

Any ideas what could make that sound? And again, the sound wasnt there before installing the balljoints.......

All suggestions are appreciated!!

The ball is not inside the joint. You better return it and get it sixed before it completely pops out. Do you know if they used a standard pickle-fork to install?

the adjustable ball joint camber kit sucks from my experience. they will loosen up over time and move around in the control arm. mine rattled on bumps cuz it was loose and threw the alignment all off. i've since got the ingalls adjustable control arm camber kit. in my opinion, thats the way to go for our cars.

Because you are dropped 2inches (according to your sig), the upper control arm could be hitting the top of the fender well. That is what happened to me, which forced me to raise my car up a little bit. I do have a first gen however, so it could be a little different. I also was not using a ball joint camber kit, and dont know a whole about them, but it is at least worth a shot to make sure this isnt what is happening. Hope you get the problem fixed!

thats very nice, but because I'm dropped 2inches, I can have the control arm, I have to stick with the ball joint or else I will hit the fender...

I doubt I'm hitting the fender, but thanks for bringing that up...

I need more suggestions in case the tuner shop doesnt fix the problem

What are you taking about? You can use the control arm.

i know that now, i'm not using a control arm because of the limited space. I don't want to hit the fender. Why, would you say it would be better to have a control arm than a ball joint? I was told that a camber kit with control arms in the rear and camber kit with ball joints in the front was the way to go...
am i wrong?

Its the exact opposite. The ingalls control arm is designed to clear the fender. The plain ball-joint camber kit is larger and may cause problems like hitting the fender, which you are experiencing.

It's not that big of a deal. I have tein ss dropped 2" also. The real problem is before the top of the cotrol arm was flat. Now the slider is a 1/8" the nut is 1/2" and the bolt sticks out the top about a 1/2". You just added an 1" or more to the top of your control arm. On certain bumps the top of the bolt slams into the bottom of the shock tower. If you look in your engine compartment you might see slight dimples. Like something was trying to punch through from the other side. Plus if you jack up the car you would see the scratches from the bolt also. I have the same problem. I just try to avoid bumps and potholes better. I have never had a problem of them coming loose or anything and I corner like a maniac and I adjust the camber twice a year when I go from my winter setup to summer and back. I torque the bolt to 75lbs when I adjust. Now that they do make a control arm I will probably be switching see I'm getting tired of swerving around bumps and holes due to the worry.
