Thats a bit high of a price on the 6 speed, I got my 6 speed for 21k (out the door) and it was SMR non navi, certified with 26k miles.

Oh, is that one in Austin at Sterling with 50k miles? It's certified too, which adds a year of warranty. looked like it had new tires.

I think it evens out, 13k for an 01 with 78k dealer tradein seems pretty good and they always expect you to bargain down.

Doesn't sound too bad, but see you you can talk 'em down a couple of grand.

Like 123456 said, the fact that it's certified is a big plus.

haha you remembered im from austin...are you really looking into getting another CL?! that would be what your third one? i really like yours alot so if your planning on getting a new one let me know! i really want one with ebony/navi. im going to look at it wednesday. i agree with you that it evens out somewhat considering how much they are going to give me for my car. the only thing is i wish it didnt have that damn tan leather. oh well maybe ill fall in love when i drive it.

edit: ya i was confused about the whole certified deal...if it gives me more waranty then hell ya thats a good deal. i thought it was just some sales lingo to try and talk up their car

On my trade in at the dealer i got 18K Cdn, Approx: 15K US w/58,000 miles..

As other have said try to bring them down to 18-19K for the 6spd, and get another 1K for your car

Regardless of the brand, the certified programs are basically marketing programs that fool people into paying more for "peace of mind". I wouldn't pay a dime extra for certified cars, and you should let the dealer know that it doesn't mean much to you. These are Acuras we're talking about, not high maintenance Italians! I try to buy and sell privately whenever I can - more people should deal privately so that more us have more opps to avoid paying thousands of dollars in overhead at the dealer.

No, I'm not looking to buy a 3rd 6MT but I saw this one there driving buy so I stopped in. I agree with you, a red/black would be awesome but hard to find!
That's one reason I sold my white 6MT was the tan interior and fake wood look.

The salesman was a goof I talked with. He told me they get 6 speed CLs all the time, yea right. They don't. Certified warr gives you another year of MOST of the original warranty but some of the more minor things are NOT covered, even tho the sales people say it's the same, it's not. But it's a good thing to have IMO. THe original warranty is up right?? 50k miles?
I think that car has been there weeks if not longer. I was there Sat Aug 27.
Drive a hard bargain!
