Price seems a bit high. I've seen others between 34-44k miles... but without Nav. Would you guys buy this one?

http://autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ca...000&cardist=27

There aren't too many 6spd/Nav combos out there... and I was hoping for black or blue.

Just realized that the ad is mixed around... the exterior pics are of an 01 CLS. But the interior are the 03? Fishy? Or just dumb human error?

I think that's a bit much. I would buy mrsteve's 6 speed. Has a bit more miles, but I'm sure he took great care of it. And you will get some nice mods for the same price.
Not sure if has navi or not. But here's the link....

Price is definitely a little high for the mileage... probably because it is certified.

The ABP CL-S mrsteve is selling has nice mods for the price but it looks like no Navi.

My recommendation, take the Navi. Mods can always be bought but the Navi conversion is near impossible to get done at a decent price and just the hassle of installation isn't worth it.

If you can get around $1000-$1500 taken off I'd say it's a good deal.

Mr.Steve has a nice blue CLS6... but I would like to get oem NAV. His deal sounds great, especially with all the mods which add up to quite a bit.

Perhaps I should secure my next stable employment before looking for a new car...

IMO, it's not a bad deal. Definitely try to get'em $1,500~$2,000 down though.

If you are sold on getting a 6spd I would check out Springfield Acura or this link to a dealership in PA. I was seriously considering the 6spd but didn't want one like Mr. Greenmonster & didn't feel like driving to PA..http://www.carvision.com/frameset.ht..._inventory.htm

What's wrong with getting a SMR 6spd ??

Plus, that one has the ebony interior, mine has the more popular parchment interior (SMR 6spd breakdown is 147 ebony to 278 parchment)... So you wouldn't have one exactly like mine

Ouch... I'll probably hit 43K this weekend... If a dealer is asking 18.9K, then I guess my car as a trade in is probably worth several grand less

I've said before that I might get rid of my car when the trade in value hits $15K... Acura better come out with a coupe soon, or I'll be driving a 2007 G3xC.

Maybe I should just keep he CLS forever...

Wow... So I never realized this but the 6spd I'd like to have is pretty frappin' rare. Looking for 1 of 52 will prove to be a difficult task when I'm ready.

Greenie, let me know before you trade in that SMR...

Oh, wait... Does yours have navi?

Nope, no navi... I've joked with Chopper that he's got first dibs on my car...

I'll probably end up keeping the CLS forever (past 100K miles). My last car (94 V8 Tbird) lasted me 122K miles, and I got rid of it more because I was tired of it... 8 years is a long time to own the same car...

I just can't see selling the CLS for what they are going for. It's such a great car for the price. Plus, it really isn't financially responsible to be spending money on new cars, when I could be investing for retirement.

I've got the title in hand, so a private sale would probably be an easy transaction

Oh, well. I really want navi and NBP anyway. I just know yours is well cared for.

I never planned to get another one after all the Acura service dept. issues I've had but after seeng spdy0001's car, and Nite Qwill's interior, I'm highly rethinking that.

People ask me all the time... "What is your dream car?" or "What car would you ultimately like to be driving?" Tuff question these days... I have to think about it for awhile. My only response to date has been this: "Almost any car hand built in Italy who's name begins with an "F". And since I can't afford one, my CL-S is perfect. All I need is an 6'er MT and I wish I had Navi. I love my CL-S."

Now I know how my stepdad feels about BMW M3's.

I've often thought about a new project, since I know the VIN of every 6 speed, someone could run carfax reports and find out were every one was last titled. Could provide clues to finding the car you want.

How is this possible?

This would prove to be quite useful to save time in the searching process...

I had to enter each VIN individually when I obtained the production number list from ownerlink. I don't have every VIN in a file but I do have the boundary VIN's from which the others can be quickly calculated.

For instance:
19UYA41783A000069
19UYA41743A000070
19UYA41673A000071
19UYA41673A000085
19UYA41693A000086
19UYA416X3A000100
19UYA41613A000101
19UYA41613A000115
19UYA41633A000116
19UYA41683A000130

I don't have unlimited access to carfax, but if someone (or even better multiple someones) did, I could feed them the VIN's.

I'm not sure how detailed the info is in a carfax report, but I'm sure at minimum we could locate the car to a particular state, and know if the car is alive and well.

It might!

Actually, come to think of it, that happened to me sort of when I had my '91 VW Jetta GLI 16V. The guy was like... "Damn, man! I've been looking all over town for you!" I'm like WTF! It was cool though. I sold it to him. Money talks!
