I did search. It said over 100 octane has lead in it. But theres been guys that ran 110 octane. Is that the highest you can go.
My buddy just bought about 50 gallons of Race Fuel, not sure what octane Race fuel is but that's why im asking the question above if the race fuel is gonna be to high in octane. Thanks.

Actually, that's what a dry nitrous set up is, but you spray about 4-6 inches away from the the throttle body.
ZEX has a cone filter that sprays directly down into the tube...I don't know how affective that is.

There's actually a gas station around my neck of the woods that sells 104 octane from the pump. It makes me doubt they'd sell that if it could harm anything. I'm sure if you run it all the time and beat on your motor it'll harm it, but once for the strip I doubt it. But then again why run something on the strip that you wouldn't have on the street? I never got that, like when people take out their rear seat to run the 1/4 mile. Just run it how you brung it.

Something like that. My co-worker put it in his Suzuki Katana one day not realizing it was 104 octane. He realized it when he went to pay for it.

the car will benefit from 100 Gt however it would take a few days to fully realize the gains...and day of the track it may work against you.. if you get any predtonation KR then 100 will help

I used some octane booster from NOS it cleans your injectors etc. at the same time. It said on the bottle it would boost the octane rating 6 points. so I was at 99 octane with all bolt ons. I had smoother acceleration with it but I never really felt a real change in HP. It was almost like when I put on my TB spacers.

THE J35A2...
i use this stuff when i race...
but like what the rest said, it's worthless to use 100+ octane if you don't have big power under the hood. leaded fuel gives more lube on your engine, hence more power, but don't drive your car on the street using it, it can cause harm to people. octane boosters are a waste too... ...

You run higher octane to stop the engine from going boom. The only time you see any power gains are when the ECU has been pulling timing due to knock.

Without tuning your car for the race gas, you will see little to no gains from using it. It's not worth the $$$ for the extra few hp you'll gain....IMHO....save your $$$.

The highest octane that you can run without damaging anything is 103. This is still unleaded. They have leaded versions of 103 as well. The reason leaded gasoline can be harmful is that it leaves a blueish residue over time on your O2 sensor. This residue over time gives you inaccurate readings to the ECU and ends up screwing up your fuel maps and all. It wont do any harm to your engine directly, but indirectly it can cause bad timing adjustments and or fuel ratios.
Unless you're running forced induction or a much more modded than stock setup, dont waste your time with anything more than 93 premium.
The guy who thinks his can of octane boost juice is netting him 99 octane count is just one of the many who fall for that marketing ploy. Not true.
Just so you are aware, higher octanes help eliminate knock. Knock is responsible for retarding timing. Too much knock, less timing, decreased performance. Higher octane, reduced knock, advanced (to factory levels hopefully) timing.
If you are doing any data-logging and can get a knock count and or can advance your timing with piggy back mods, then you will benefit better than guessing at which octanes help you more.
