Gas mileage on New 03 CL-S 6sp is 24 mpg
Car has 500 miles on it so far. I thought I would have had better milage since I'm driveing mostly highway (70/75 mph) and keeping the tach under 3K going through the gears.
Any 6sp's doing mostly highway out there. What are you getting now that you're all broken in?
I hope this improves!!

i'm getting about 23-24 mpg; 75%hwy;25%city....on a recent long trip to Pittsburgh and back I got 29.5mpg. Still less than 2000 miles on the car, though....

I'm getting about the same (23-24), with mostly highway driving (alot of stop and go in rushhour traffic tho').
I did notice that the mileage is getting better w/ the more miles I put on the car (6400 now).
I've kept a log of the mileage at every fillup. I have to sit down and add up it up to see exactly what the MPG is.
ohh... yeah.... I do seem to be a little heavy on the gas (I vtec)

From 0-5500 miles, I got an avg of about 20 mpg, but that was all city driving. From 5500-7800 miles, I took my car from Phoenix to LA to San Jose to Sacramento and then back to LA and then to Phoenix and I averaged something like 26 mpg for the entire trip (mostly hwy but also through lousy California stop and go traffic). The high on the trip was about 28-29mpg with a low of about 23-24mpg....on the hwy, I was driving around 85-95 mph. I didn't drive aggressively, so I took it gradual in accelerating...no fast jumps.

I got 22 mpg on my first tank (almost all city driving). On my second tank I got 24 mpg but this is "surbuban driving". Some city streets, some parkways. Easy on the gas as the car is being broken in. I'm fairly confident (cross those fingers) that I will get 28 - 30 on the highway with cruise control on.

Gas mileage
I have about 1200 miles on my car. Getting around 23-25 mpg, with city driving (25%) and stop-and-go freeways (75%).
It sure is fun to stomp on the gas on those straightaways every now and then!
VROOOOOM!

22K on mine and on long road tripos I've gotten 29mpg... but I have a lead foot. I believe it could get into low 30s if going a steady 60, but that would be boooring.

Long trip I got 29mpg but I was really heavy (we were bringing back cases of wine) and I was playing a bit with some of the riced out cars (I got taken to school by an Accord with tons of stickers that pulled on me at about 110...can you say NOS?). Overall...I am pleased with 29mpg if that gives me time to play.

fuzzy02CLS, that's great mileage. 34 mpg with is 6 cyl is great. I got that with a 4 banger, but never with a 6 banger. Did you travel down the east cost and back or something? 1200 each way??

I'm getting 18 or 19 in mostly city driving and moderately fast driving, but not all out punching. AC on just part of the time.
My tires were a little low so maybe it will improve now. I put 33psi in each tire, most were at 28-30. I want better mileage but love the speed of this thing.

I went up to Maine last weekend (220 miles one way) and got about 24.6 going up, 25 coming home. Driving about 75-80, when not in traffic (which was most of the time). I drove up w/ 3 adults and 1 child, and back w/ just 2 adults.
Overall for the first 2333 miles I got 19.95 mpg. For the next 2415 miles I got 20.51 mpg and the last 2054 miles I'm up to 21.71 mpg.
I think that w/ more miles on the engine and if I slowed down a bit (65??) my gas mileage would improve.

When I'd do my 3 mile drive during snow season from one base to the next the worst I got was 16mpg. On a cross-country drive I got at best 30mpg. It's wholly dependant on your driving style.

I only get about 18-19 miles per gallon, but i drive like 90% city! Also since i take the train to school, i only drive like 5 miles each way to the station. I am already parked by the time the car is really warmed up. I think that has a lot to do with it a well. Actually.......... this intake comes in the mix as well, damn that V-Tech!

What time you heading through Providence. I do it daily myself. I merge onto 95 South (from 146 South), then 195 East. I've only seen a black CL (female) driver so far. The return trip is worse!! 195 W onto 95 North to 146 North. Uggg

In the morning the time depends on when I wake up I usually drive 195W to 95S starting at 7:45-8:00, I'm surposed to be in Cranston for 8:30
I get out at 5:00, then it's 95N to 195E on the way back.
I see alot more 1st gen CL's around then I do the newer ones.
