Garage Floor Mat anyone?
Anyone have a garage floor mat in there garage? I put the CL away for the winter and all the water (from the other two vehicles snow melt) finds its way under my CL. This is a new garage and I was hoping the floor pitch would be out the garage doors, but it is not.
I was thinking a floor mat may contain the water but want someone elses experience with one of these mats.

I have a Car Pad. It's the Balls. I wash my car in the garage and pick up the water with a ShopVac. I got the full size. It's perfect for a CL.

Nothing worse than getting water on the garage doors, then have it drip nasty dirty crap on your cars!!
I can't imagine a car mat can hold that much water-

Yes. I have to be careful with the water and I can't blast it like I would outside. I live in a condo complex and they don't allow outside washing. So, I have to hide in garge to detail my car. Works great, really.
Oh, and the thing can hold like 100 gallons of water. Believe it or not.

Ahhhh the luxury of designing your own garage.
I installed two floor drains directly under each vehicle and the cement around them is sloped towards the drains.
It makes for easy washing and no “lakes” in the garage.
Works GREAT !!!!!

I did it myself to save the 500-dollar charge the cement contractor wanted.
Let me tell you this….digging that trench 20” deep BY HAND into stone that had cars parked on it for 2-years was no easy task.
As for legality of this, I understand what they are saying.
I suppose they don’t want grease, oil, gasoline & other automotive contaminates going into the drain system.
But if you hose off the car with the garage door OPEN, where’s it gonna go anyway ???
Right out onto the street and into the storm drain.
No storm drains out near me so there’s no problem.
I have a utility sink in the back of the garage which dumps right out the back wall.
As long as I don’t wash car parts in gasoline or dump a can of paint down there I don’t see it being an environmental issue.

That's a hot garage Shawn.
Anyone else use anything besides the carpad? I just got a house and I don't want to ruin the items I have sitting on the sides of the garage. I would have to get 2 carpads for $440 plus tax and shipping!
