FYI-value of 2001 CL-S

Looked into an Accord Coupe 6 speed. They are listed right at 28,000 including transportation. Because of dealer incentives of 1000 they can be bought for right at 24000 cash. My Red Rocket CL-S was valued right at 11000-12000 by 2 dealers in Memphis area. I wanted a better deal and passed on the Accord since it seemed to lack the CL-S polish and I'm cheap; but she is approaching her 6th birthday---still looks good and runs like a champ. The CL-S was and is a great value and a great car.

I hope you laughed at the offer. That's pathetic.

11-12 sounds about right to me

If you sold it privately, I think you'd have a tough time selling it @ 14 or 15K (assuming it's got average mileage of 75K for 6 years total). Might be able to sell it privately for 12 or 13...

I wouldn't expect more than about 15-16k trade in for my 03 6spd w/ 48K miles right now...

You probably could have haggled 13K out of them but I don't know what the coupe market is there. It's a lot better here in CO I would imagine.

Only 45,000 miles. The offer was fair but I was looking for a bargain since I'm in no hurry and the CL-S is still running strong and look good. The accord coupe 6 speed is a bargain right now with the 1000 dealer incentives and huge discount.

i had 65-70k on my 01 at that time....it was funny case they initially said okay we can give you like 13-14. for your car then they said that crap! and they tried to say yeaaa we cant sell the car cause its got the tranny problems and its too old/too many miles so we cant make it certified. your wheels have rash marks(what fkin CL doesnt these days...i know i bought mine like that) basically a whole load of crap. and even giving that shitty of a tradein they didnt wanna deal at all on the 6spd.

BTW, the dealer used Edmunds to value my vehicle. He showed me his printout and I pulled out my own Edmunds printout and the dealer was shocked. He didn't give me any credit for my car being in very good shape which P me O. But the offer for my CL was not unreasonable. May try to sell it privately for 14-15000 or keep her for a while. If he would have come down another grand I may have bit. Almost glad he didn't!!!Maybe the Accord will have higher incentives in June. I'm schizo about trading.
