Future CL Owner questions.

Hey guys, new to the fourms. I'm gonna be picking up my first CL here in a couple days and wanted to ask a couple questions about em.

First, whats a good cold air for this car, AEM? Links to online retailers appreciated.

Second, I love what ron has done with the lipkit and I am thinking of picking one but, does anyone know of a good body shop in the Phoenix area that could handle the prof install of one?

My last is if anyone has some links to customer spoilers that would fit the CL nicely since my model came without it.

Thanks, and i'll try to get some pictures up after I get her.

I never bothered to mod my CLS up so I can't really answer your questions. But you found a really good place to start looking! Welcome!!!

Welcome to the money pit.

I had the AEM CAI. I hated it. I swapped it out with the Comptech Icebox. I liked it a lot better. The AEM sounds a bit loud and ricey IMO, and it is also prone to hydrolock and the support bracket tend to break. The Icebox is not as loud, it sounds more stock.

As for spoiler, either get the OEM one or the M5 lip spoiler.

There is a lot of info in this thread....

I agree with RavinNJCLs, you can't go wrong with the comptech icebox, you don't have to worry about hydrolock and it keeps a clean stock look (if you like that). The icebox not only gave me high end rpm gains, but also felt it midrange rpms gains also.

If everything checks out with the car and its in good condition I think thats a pretty good price.

I forgot to mention, it has in dash nav.

Only thing is there was a hiss on rev'in it, but after read alot of posts, I think its normal.

I made the dealer place in the contract that I will get to have acura inspect the car after driving off the lot. If anything is deemed broken, i get a full refund.

I think i did good talking him down so far. I pick it up on Weds.

It sucks that I cant get a warranty on it tho. They have a 3yr/100k mile extended but the manager told me if I put mods on the eng or electrical, i void the warranty.
