funky steering wheel audio controls

funky steering wheel audio controls
and not the good kind of funky.
here is the problem
- hit volume up button on the steering wheel and instead the CD track changes
- hit the volume down button on the steering wheel and volume goes up and sometimes will go back down!
- hit the cd track changer button and that works.
the problem is sporadic. no idea what caused it (no spills or anything). calling the dealer next week.

electronic gremlins...
in my dads legend, i used the memory seats quite often back in the days and it would beep and beep and beep some more...no set pattern, then mysteriously it went away
