Fun with a 911

So the other night I'm driving home from work at about 12:15 AM (nice clear night; dry roads) & just as I'm getting to the highway part of the trip (a 4 lane divided stretch with traffic lights occasionally and 80 KMH limit) a car comes up behind me with his driving lights on & from the location & size of the lights I can tell it's a Porsche 911. Finally! After having my Type S for a month & a half I haven't had an opportunity to have a decent run against anything <F>. There's some traffic in my right lane so I let the 911 by and lo and behold it's a turbo! Better yet it's a guy I know who lives about a block from me & I know the car; it's a gold '84 930 turbo. As we approach the next light I'm praying that it will turn red and sure enough it does. Unfortunately there's someone in the left hand lane already but the Porch is 1st in line on the right side & I'm right behind him. When the light turned green he booted it hard enough for me to have to floor it to keep up, but he wasn't pulling away! We got up to about 150 KMH with me still on his bumper when we came up on a truck tooling along in the right lane just before a sweeping left hander & my neighbor slowed down! Wimp, thinks I. I passed him and the truck and carried on around the left hander at about 140 or so & the 930's dropping back. Just after that is our exit which has a decreasing radius, pretty much flat, right hander that most cars take at about 50 KMH or slower, so (after making sure there was no one else about) I go around at between 70 & 80 ( I wasn't able to check the speedo real well mid-corner <G>). No problem whatsoever; I think the stock tires & suspension work pretty well, thank you very much! After that I slowed to around 60 and ambled up the road & it was a good 3-5 secs before the Porch appeared behind me. He then proceeded to drive close enough behind me that I couldn't see his headlights (!) as we tooled through the residential area to our homes. I don't like to drive too fast in inappropriate places. As I pulled off onto my street (I go right, he goes left at the same intersection) I rolled my window down & waved, but didn't notice him doing the same; do you think he was a bit ticked that my $40 grand (CDN) piece of "Jap Crap" left his German "Supercar" in the dust?

For the record: I know an '84 930 *should* be faster than my Type S (they're supposed to do 0-60 MPH in just over 5 secs), but I don't think they're as easy to drive fast as my car + some people just don't have the balls to drive them that hard :-).
