fuel cell

has anyone replaced the stock gas tank with a racing type fuel cell, any idea on how large a fuel cell could be put in?

i believe the stock take has 15 gallon capacity, i was thinking of adding a 35 gal cell.

thanks

but with the extra weight (35 gallons of gas = about 215 pounds) you'd get worse mileage. its a catch-22. fill up less often and get worse mileage or fill up more often and get better mileage.

EDIT: only logical reason to put a 35 gallon cell in would be if the car is often used for long distance trips (i.e. more than about 300 miles at a time), then you wouldn't have to fill up mid trip. Otherwise it just doesn't make sense economically.

I'd love a 35 gallon fuel cell so I'd not have to fill up on my drives into and out of Canada. The extra weight really is just like having another passenger, which for me is perfectly fine. I had a passenger on my las long trip who was about 225lbs and I was still getting 31mpg.

why

cuz when the bombs drop on Eran and gas spikes to $6 and mobs are rioting to get a seat onn the bus cuz your gas rationaing coupon was traded for a 6pak of Miester Brau it may be wize to git out o town and 35 gal could buy u some great hucci-cucci from some hot stranded soccer mom in her escalade.
