The roadlamps cost about $35 each I think, plus wiring, bulbs, electrical work.
Congrats where in Texas?

roadlamps arent worth it IMO they are cheaply made...the lenses crack very easy. not to mention they arent any brighter than a $2.99 flashlight

i installed these right away in place of the stupid 'road lamps'
http://www.piaa.com/Lamps/Lamp-pages/2100.html

they go with the flow of the front end and they actually serve a purpose.
here are overexposed pics of what my fogs look like...

They do look great. Don't really like the blue look when they're off though. But oh well.

IMO, even though the road lamps don't do that much, it looks better than the aftermarket housings. I would get the road lamp housings and use the PIAA 19224 bulbs with them.

Nope! I think it is rather funny though. I guess the driving lights would not overheat or burn the housings. My guess, the picture is a joke, and it was generated because of all the driving light discussions in this forum. My

i finally installed my 'xtreme white PIAA 19224' bulbs...and i hate them. they are big, blue bulbs when off...and when they are on, they are still blue, not white. they dont match the headlights and look silly.

i liked my 'ion plasma yellow PIAA' bulbs i had before (not 19224). plus, the 19224s did not fit perfectly...i needed to open the hole in the housing a bit.

overall, i hate them, but it's not that bad...they were only $18 shipped.

Thank god. I was concerned that you actually bought into the concept.

I want to keep the stock light housings. Which bulbs should I get to match the headlights EXACTLY? (Or close to exact =/ )

piaa 19173 are the exact SIZE as the factory bulbs.

piaa 19224 are BIGGER and slightly higher wattage (i couldnt tell the difference in brightness)

now matching the COLOR is a different story...the xtreme white 19224s are a light blue and dont match the headlights

i'm still looking for WHITE bulbs...

So go w/ the 19173's ya think?

I guess it doens't have to match PERFECTLY. I just don't dig the cheap flashlight look of the stock road lamps.

i would say 19173, but most others would say 19224 (not sure why).

the stock bulbs are a joke...i replaced them less than a week after i bought my CL.

what i would like is to find WHITE 19173s...

i have the fog version, i think they are regular H3, def not HID, they are bright enough as it is, you people are relentless with the pictures, i have day and night, look through i posted pics of the lights on at night. reason i went iwth the fog version is because i get snow and bad weather and believe it or not the fog versions actually light up more area
