First Synthetic Oil Change
I have read all the posts on going from regular oil to synthetic. I know the advantages. So having said this..........the following questions driving 2003 CLS mostly on highway in Phoenix, AZ.
1. What brand is the best to use?
2. Is the recommended Acura weight (5W 20) the one to go with considering the hot weather?
3. What filter?
4. Where can I get the oil and filter in Phoenix area?
Thanks for the help!

1) Mobil 1 Supersyn is good enough.
2) 5-20 or in your case stik with 5-30.
3) I use Purelotar Pure PL14459. You can use Mobil 1 M-104.
5) Any pep boys, Autozone... etc,

I use Valvoline 5w-40 in the during summmer and in the winter change over to 10w-30. I live in Laredo, TX and it get dam hot out her. 5w-20 is crap and it only helps with emission factors that each manufacture has to meet per year with there productions. I prefer to have protection than have my internals suffering from thermal breakdown.
