well since then i got headers and an intake,

we head out to our spot again to do some runs, it was 6 degrees outside


first run: he gets the jump on me cause my tires suck, i slowly gain on him through first and second gears, i was ahead of him at like 60 ish, then at around 75 or 80 he starts to pull then pass me

2nd run: we both get even launches and i gain on him pretty good, i prolly had a car on him till the end of first then he starts to pull back again and gets ahead of me at 80-85 ish

i def hanged w/ him much better w/ i/h but theres no way i can take him in the 1/4 mile, his car is just a beast, i think he can get a high 13 @ the track, it was 6 degrees out i prolly would of ran a very low 14 at a track today, is there anything i can do to hold off the bimmer at highway speeds?? wtf i'm moddin my car to lose

Now get some 17x8 or 17x7.5 lightweight rim GT SSR or OZ Superlaggers with 235/45/17 and an UR SS Pulley kit and try again... Race him in a real 1/4 mile at the track...

i aint got $$ for rims, pulley's are a waste of money, they gonna give me 1 hp

Good Run! Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do against him at highway speeds due to your 4th gear. Unless you do a tranny swap, say a 6spd but then it's not worth all the money and trouble. Get a VTEC controller and have it tuned, you'll unleash another 6 to7 HP.

The new icebox intake coming out could help you a bit and the b pipe will give u another 7-8 hp. New tires would help you a lot. And there is always the supercharger and the NOS if u get some $$$

ZEX is the answer...however i ran a 540i (6speed) also and had no problems w/ him w/out spraying....we did it from a stop and i had him by a car or two...not much more than that....when i sprayed it was closer to 4-5cars....you can ask Mattg about the UR pulleys, but ive been told bad things about the crank pulley...but its your $$$ so do what you want...and as always, there's gonna be someone faster

tranny cooler would probably be a good idea....actually its not a bad thing, but id say you'd only need it if you're spraying everyday and trust me you'll want to until you've paid $40 each time to fill the bottle up....with the auto tranny its a tough call b/c of all the shit thats been going on, but SFLA-types and whoever the other guy was have had no problems....if i were you, id go for the 3.5upgrade...its relatively safe and not toooooo expensive...looks like im gonna be the dumbass and get the charger this spring, so good luck and next time you'll give him hell

nos is too crazy for me, and i dont wanna risk my warantee n shit, i'm only 17 zoot so i aint got $$$ for a blower or 3.5 upgrade, but maybe i can con my partents into strokin the motor for my graduation present,
"umm dad if i get the 3.5 liter i can get 40 mpg and the resale will double"
