First Gen vs. 2003 Si Hatchback
Finally, my first racing story!
On my way back home from university 50 miles away, I'm redlining every gear to get home and see my family over from Canada for the last night. I get caught at a red light with a new Si hatchback next to me, but I didn't even know it, I was too focused on getting home without a ticket. He thinks I want to race, and I'm driving hard anyway. I floor it, so does he, finally I hear his exhaust and look over, "what the hell is this guy doing? I hate racing in my town" I thought to myself. Anyway I had half a car on him up to third, 4th he started gaining on me a bit, we both slowed down because the the light ahead may have been red but you cant see until you get closer. It was green so I threw it back into 3rd and pulled away again. We were both cool with it, and it was a good end to a bad day at school. I didn't think I could hang with those cars despite my mods... we first gen's minus a handful are VERY slow!

Yes I do have a 5sp, and the venom 400 didn't do much until I turned it off for a week to see how I'd like the car without the venom because I wanted to sell it. I decided to keep it because it did help a tiny bit. I hear it's a lot better for automatics.
as it happens there was a cop with someone pulled over way ahead of us but ws had slowed down and my turn was before that anyway... cops LOVE messing with import owners in my town. I see cops looking under hoods every friday and saturday night!

yeah the difference is very small with my 5 speed, but if there were NO diff I'd be selling it on eBay so there is a tiny help with the venom, not worth the money, but selling it I'd lose a bunch of $ anyway
