finally got my type s back!!!!!!

finally have her home after the new tranny was installed. the dealer also found something wrong with the left front cv boot and replaced that as well. the car runs smooth with no problems and it even feels faster. probably just my imagination since i was stuck with that pos rental pontiac sunflower. i'm glad that was over with.

Perhaps a week dring in a Geo Metro would be good therapy for CL-S (and other) drivers that are complaining about how are cars just aren't fast enough.

Your story reminds me of the latest Road and Track, were the Infiniti is being driven by a race driver and he is furious at only be able to drive at the speed limiter (around 140 something).

Maybe a day in a golf cart, would be a good reality check.

Who was your dealer -- did you have to beat them to death for the new tranny. Or did you just have show up in your Postal Worker's uniform (and clanking postal sack)

worse, i showed up with my dental drill and threatened to do some root canals without local anesthetic unless someone gave me a new tranny. seriously, i am pretty cool with one of the service advisors at oakland acura so he hooked me up.

good memory, but it was actually my fiance. but before anyone read anything into this strange coincidence, she bought hers in orange county and i bought mine in oakland. she was living in southern calif. at the time. her's is a 2000 tl and mine is a 2001 cl type s. whatever it was, it freaked both of us out. what strange luck
