Talking Finally Bought A 03 CL-S 6 Speed Today!!

Well guys I finally found the car I've been looking for for over one year today! I just finalized the deal today I bought a 03 cl-s 6 speed black on black with 89,799 miles. The car is being shipped from FL tomorrow to my house here in VA and it will arrive this Sat. 1 owner bought it brand new and just traded it in at the acura dealership last month. It's bone stock not one aftermarket part installed. Oem paint, never been in a accident, and the car looks mint. So looks like I'll be selling my 02 cl-p shortly once I clean it up. Here's the for sale ad and some pictures to enjoy.

Thank you I actually sent you a message on facebook awhile ago you never replied ha. Jared Phipps told me to speak to you about the trans in my 02 cl-p. Doesn't matter now that's why I bought this car lol.

Thanks guys. Let the mods begin ha!! I have a wet nitrous kit that I'm going to put on the car very soon after getting it. I also want to do a carbon fiber hood and trunk especially since I don't want any badges or spoiler. I'm afraid to do the trunk because I don't know if vis figured out the fitment problem on the trunk because I don't want it to look like crap.

Nice Car but id leave exterior as sleeper/luxury as possible and do engine mods. I'm scared of NOS but if you're used to these systems cool. I'd do suspension, CT RSB, nice wheels, Big brakes, Intake, Header, Exhaust and you'll have a very nice valet classy car. Leave CF hoods to the Civics/GS-R's/Preludes out there...lol. Oh and maybe do M3 Lip. That's what the CL-S guys were doing when I had my 6 speed. What a great car to have but you knew that already...lol.

Hmm... I can see Simons point. You risk getting hosed of only a dealerships word that mostly about selling cars and making money. It's a risk one takes buying used but at least most can preview owning it from a test drive to change his/her mind before dropping a lot of cash in a dealership.

in done in baby steps (ie: work your way up in the size of the shot), not nearly as scary, i think the issues is more when people buy a kit, slap the biggest shot on, and a couple of month later it blows up, cause it had never been tuned/tweaked properly

I was thinking about just taking the trunk off my 02 cl-p but that still has the badges in black, I love the way it looks without anything it looks so clean. I'll figure out what to do because your right I do love the perfect gaps of the oem hood and trunk. I actually had a good friend I grew up with test drive the car this past Sat since he lived near the dealership so I trust his word he went over the car completely for me.

As for the nitrous I'm very familiar with it I had the kit on a few cars I've owned already. I was actually running a 200 shot with the same kit on my mustang lol. I know the car will take a 100 shot easy, the ecu should be able to pull the timing no problem. I will throw some one step colder plugs and a walbro 255lph fuel pump to be on the safe side. Trust me I love the sleeper look so I want the car to look simple.

That car was at Crown Acura in Clearwater, right? I think remember seeing it. That is where I get my CLS serviced, they have always been great to me and my car.

that a good price for a mint condition cl-6 imho i'd have paid that no problem.

too bad none with low miles were available when I bought my car :-(

I wasn't gonna buy anything wqith more than 100kms at the time i purchased mine mileage was my biggest concern.

little did i know how fragile the auto trans was, but that's solved now

enjoy ur new ride OP

Clean and obviously just getting more rare. Anyone who says they wouldn't pay this and that price really needs to take a step back. The car is going on 10 years old. Appreciate the mintness and low mileage.. Its not THAT expensive. IMO the price is definitely worth it, especially to cl enthusiast like ourselves.. (depending on the condition of course)

Its just that I feel not many look at these cars any more, they are all onto the newer models and the older models get quickly forgotten about unless you are a group of indicualds like us... newer is not always better though. i'd take my CL over a lot of things out right now brand new for 30k+..

ignore the price critics - it will be the best $10K used car you could purchase and as long as you're happy, money well spent!

i did the same, bought a low mileage FL car (67K) and had it shipped. love it every day

Ok, I took a step back........Still think it's too high

But if the OP is happy, then that's what matters.

stock fuel pump works just FINE with only a 100 shot, and a wet kit (which i have have mine actually, and am spraying)(but yes a bigger pump is definitely added safety, and will be necessary with a bigger shot if you ever want to run one)

I just want to do it for the added safety like you said plus I might step it up to a 125 depending how it feels. My friend just bought a dyno for his shop last week and it should be installed within a month so I'll be able to see what it puts down and what the a/f is. Where did you tap into for your fuel supply?

Thanks for all the nice comments everyone. I'm glad I got the car for what I paid. I actually am getting a partial refund because the price was lower $9,577 and I paid $9,977 before fee's so I'll get a $400 check back from the dealership.

I just got off the phone with the delivery driver the car should be here around 10am tomorrow morning. I was a little angry at first because the shipping company took longer than expected but I guess patience is the key in situations like this.

Well guys I love the car the trans shifts like butter ha! The car has a few more small dings than I thought but I'll have someone from a local paint less dent removal company look at it this week. It needs rotors because they are warped so that's a easy fix. The clutch is a little on the soft side but I guess that's ok for now. I also ran my friends stock bmw 335 5 speed and walked away from him haha. I love it!
