FAWK! Need Code Help!
Im getting two codes
P1705 TCM A/T Gear Position Switch Circuit Shorted
P0171 System to Lean [Right Bank (Bank 1)]
Any ideas?
For P0171 I found this on another "acura" forum
I do have a hard time starting it at times... and it does shutter sometimes as well when the car is warm like its about to turn off.
Even though my car is out of warranty, can this TSB still be applied for free?

The bulletin Jens is refering to (B01-001) addresses intermitent hard start after hot soak. The cure for that is to replace the fuel pressure regulator. The cold start, long crank is an issue we see most in fall and spring. It too is fuel related. The gas companies switch from Winter to Summer blends at those times and the change in vapor pressure from the fuel can cause wierd starting problems- particularly if you still have winter gas and the temp gets warm or summer gas and the temp gets cold. Not much you can do about this. The other issue is that you may be getting a slight loss of pressure in the fuel system after the car sits overnight. When you turn the key, the fuel pump is activated and pressurizes the system. It take a second or so to build pressure back up- thus the extra cranks. The best cure for this is to turn the key to on for a second or two then to crank. This gives the pump time to work and you should have a shorter crank. These really aren't problems and they do exist in most fuel injected cars.

Ok I found this
P1705 Short in Transmission Range Switch Circuit (More than one range position is on at the same time)
What does that mean? More than one range? Im an idiot.
Now that i think about it, last week I started driving the car while the alarm was still activated and the car went a little nuts. I stopped the car, turned it off/on and everything was fine once I turned off the alarm. After this is when the P1705 came on. Wonder if thats what caused it? Maybe i'll clear the code and see if it comes back?
