F@#kin' Stabilizer Link

I went to put on my Comptech sway bars last night only to find the passenger side front stabilizer link pinion bolt is stripped. I didn't notice it until it was half off. So I decided to tighten it back up until it can be replcaed but when doing so the inside hex stripped right out .

So now I am driving around with it not completely tight, so obviously I'm taking it very easy. I'm going down to the dealer this morning to see how they want to proceed.

But here is the kicker, this is the third stripped bolt I have found on this car from the factory; Monday car??

Oh no, the dealer IS replacing it. Whether they install it or I install it, they are flipping the bill for the part. Honestly, I don't think I'll have an issue with them, they have always been decent to work with and willing to listen.

Had I damaged it myself I would certainly own up to it and buy the part, but this did come from the factory...

I spoke too soon, the dealer said that they had to contact the Factory Rep first... Which IMO is a load becasue nothing stipulates that a dealer has to find a flaw for there to be a warranty issue. However IMO, I would need to prove competence in determining the flaw which is the grey area.

But now it is irrelevant, I decided to put the impact gun on it after removing the sway bar with the end links still attached. That did the job and the Comptech bars are on.
