Exhaust Question...

Now, I know Accord 98-02 V6 parts are somewhat interchangeable with our cars...

My question is:

Are any modifications necessary for an exhaust made for the Accord V6 when fitting them to the CL?

I'm specifically looking at the Apex'i WS 2 Cat-back p/n 116-KH12

Thanks.

I'm assuming there is no CL counter-part to refrence part #s to?

THose accords only have a single pipe exhaust though. WOuldn't look to good on a CL.

O.k.

If you don't get your answer by Friday, I'll see if I can measure the length of my friends exhaust on his Accord.

I thought they only had single exhausts though. One friend who I see everyday has a V6 Accord with a single exhaust. Not sure what my other friends Accord has though(dual vs. single).

edit: just checked www.c-c-c.net and they have a different part number for the Apex'i exhaust they offer, 104-kh12, and thats the only one from them they list.

My Mom's got an 2001 Accord LX V6 and it's dual out the back. I would think that it's closer to a TL than a CL. Not sure if the B pipe and Axlebacks are the same. We know that the Comptech version of the TL is longer than their CL version. I just checked the Comptech site and their Axlebacks are different numbers for the TL, CL and 98-02 Accord. Not sure how different they are but there's something.

Thanks man.

That's really funny, because I can't find the 116-KH12 part number on the Apexi website.
It only lists the part number you gave me, which is the same as Accord and according to Juniorbean's site, the CL too.

I just want to make sure that the hangers would be in all the right places, the pips are bent in all the right places, etc.

BTW, here's the exhaust:

THats a good deal. Yeah, I'll check Friday if he's around. IM not sure if his has the duals though, its a 2000 Accord Coupe V6, the top of the line one, so I assume it should. I'll see if I can compare it to mine.

I am starting to live under these cars

Yea, I remember his exhausts on his car last time I met up with him, I just don't remember asking him if there was any modifications needed. I'll check for sure. Thanks.

See! That exhaust is hot!

But again, the part number the member provides doesn't show up on Apexi's website. Now, if it fits a TL, I don't see why it couldn't fit a CL.

I think they don't make it anymore for the TL. I don't think the Accord exhaust will fit. The only reason why I think this is because Comptech has two different part numbers for the CL and Accord.

At autocarpart.com, they said some modification needed for the exhaust. You can call Tim there, he might be able to answer your question. Best of luck!!!!
