There's no real universal answer to your question
Unless you all of the standard engine bolt-ons (intake/headers/plugs/pulleys/n2o/etc) there still isnt much reason to widen all the piping. The gains you may realize by doing all this will be at the cost of torque. You may gain upwards of 10HP in the top end by running a straight pipe config to the mufflers but it will most def. rob you of low-end torque which in this car is more useful then more upper-end HP.
Run Down:
Removing the cats is legal in FL but will cause DTC's (engine codes) being triggered by your secondary O2 sensor.
Removing the pre-cat muffler will add noise and ~2-3HP but will reduce back pressure and drop torque a little.
Increasing the diameter of the piping will increase exhaust mass flow capability but will hurt your torque quite a bit in a Bad way
Best bet unless you have every mod available and a few custom ones that aren't is to swap out the mufflers with your new ones and possibly remove the pre-muffler if youd like a little more rumble.
