Escort Passport 8500 Question...

ok, I've had it for 2 weeks now, I love it.

only problem is this:

on Friday this started, I was outta town for the weekend.

I can't switch it out of HD mode. I hit the buttons, nothing happens;

what could this be from?

What should I do?

and also, what mode do you all keep yours on? The manual says auto is best. agree/disagree?

~TIA

When I had mine, I had it on HW all the time. I also had X turned off in FL, but all bands on when I went out of state. Never had the HD display, you can try to get the programming mode, & see if that works. Press & hold the top 2 buttons for 3 seconds.

leave it in highway, why would you want anything but the most sensitive option?

but to change from highway to auto to city just press the button on top left. Hey did u mount it where i did?

I got mine yesterday for XMAS!

I'm sure I'll have a million questions.
