Engine Mounts Went Bad at 70K
I have Sundance Gold 2001 CL Type S. Yes, you don't have to say it, but yes I drive the hell out of my car!!!! I bought it March 2000. I had started noticing a warbling when I applied the brakes which I knew it was time to have my pads replaced and rotors resurfaced, but this was very harsh. I was told by a Acura Tech in Ocala, FL that when you feel that much vibrations in the steering wheel, the pedal, and in the seat it more or less was that rear rotors were warped pretty bad. After taking it in to my Acura Dealer in Orlando, FL they adv me my engine mounts had to be replaced. Good thing I purchased the 100K Acura Care Warranty so it was all covered, but was this too soon for the engine mounts to go bad?

Curious as to know what was the cost printed on the reciept. I know that u didn't have to pay a dime, but I just wanted to know how much they would have quoted u if u didn't have the warranty.

TSB. But aren't they gonna just replace the mounts with the same mounts, but new. They are not redesigned.
Oh and to get ur skin really crawling. If ur engine mounts are replaced. What are the chances that the engine shifted during instalation. I was told this my another CLS member who had his car serviced at Rick Case. Luckly he has a friend who works for the service department and called him up to tell him that he should bring back the car, that the engine might have shifted.
I only wish I knew or someone could tell me how u can judge wiether the engine was set properly.
