Does anyone know what ITS (AHFC inspection company) does during a final inspection? What do they check? Should I remove my intake?

I would suggest you get it back to stock if you're not keeping it. And, since you're having it inspected, I gather you're not keeping it. AHFC may lower the value with the intake, so you'll just be throwin' money away. Keep the intake and sell it yourself.

How's the interior of the car? You may wanna consider havin' it detailed before the inspection. I had the dealer do my '98 3.2 TL-P and it looked awesome for the inspection. Mind you, I took great car of the car all along, but the detailing helped. No unreasonable wear and tear on my car after 60k and 3 years...just mileage. The dealer wanted to buy it cuz it was impeccable, but its mileage was too high without an extended warranty.

I believe the inspector looks for wear and tear beyond what is considered normal. How that is defined is anyone's guess. I've heard individual items that require repair over $100 are considered excessive. Don't know how AHFC does it, for sure, though, as I had nothing excessive.

Talk to your dealer, he should be able to clue you in a little.

Thanks for the feedback. The car is spotless I just had 4 new kumho's put on and the drivers seat cover replaced (under warrenty) along with new brake pads. Zaino'd twice a year and clayed. I love this thing, but I got my eye on the Infiniti FX35 with tech. I just wanted to know exactly what the procedure is. My friend told me the hook your car up to a computer!! That doesn't make sense that why I wanted to ask.
