Yes, but the bleed screw is easier and does what I need:

Air Bleed
The air bleed provided with the regulator reduces pressure/vacuum signal to the regulator. signal
has two results. It will both lessen the slope of the fuel pressure vs. boost/vacuum curve fluctuations
in the boost/vacuum signal from the engine. (I.e. If you see max pressure of 70psi @
a .040” bleed; you may see a max pressure of 80psi @ 10psi of boost with a .025” bleed.)

BTW, I just ordered the WBo2 systems and O2 sensor, 7057. You can't beat that $30 price for the O2 sensors...

The display is dangerous. The problem is when you want to see what's going on with the A/F ratio, you're usually traveling WOT at a high rate of speed. A nice HUD would be just the ticket,... well ticket might not be the best choice of words in this case.

Or hook up a laptop and log the data for review after the pull.

I hope to get thru next summer on mine before I need to change over. Maybe by then I'll be tuned to the point that I'll be confident enough to run without it. Right now the best price is $185 for the sensor I would need.

I know,.... but the display,.... it's right there,.... all the time.

Logging is the right way for sure though!

I saw that, but only a 10 psi FP reduction at 10 psi of boost? Is that linear? If it does do what you want though , it is much easier!

Just do it on the dyno.... on the dynapak, you can apply various loads to the motor... not just WOT

I ordered my DIY...

Plus, with the engine speed input hooked up you can correlate your A/F to RPM without the need for a dyno session. In addition, I will be hooking up the MAP voltage and the Fuel Pressure voltage signals to the user inputs and can correlate all three versus RPM.

Those numbers were just example; actual figures will need to be found. We have no bleed at all on the current FPR so some should decrease the slope which is what I want.

I did some tests with the e-Manage yesterday morning. I went out and made some WOT pulls logging the O2 voltage. It was steady at about 935mV throughout except dropping off to 915mV near redline.

I then went back and changed the e-Manage program to add 10% pulse width when in boost; 3.0 volts and up. This time it hit 975mV down low, dropping off to 955mV through most of the rev band and then near red line it dropped to 935mV.

So the additional injection works as it should. So the entire functionality, as I will use it, has been succesfully tested. Now it is on to real tuning...

I have one available but cannot get the connectors needed. I received one quote so far and it would cost me $6000 to get the minimum order quantity fulfilled.

I'm going to look into getting the pieces from multiple sources instead of one. I believe they are out there and available in small quantities at decent prices but will take some effort in finding them. I plan on working on this early next week.

You might be able to get parts from Lightning Motorsports if your looking for the older (non 6-speed) connectors.

I'm the test mule and am game...
I just got word that we hit our goals so I'm gonna get a bigger bonus than I thought, and I will stop putting off the s/c for fear of spending too much of my mad money...I will hold off getting the work done as honestly, I'm curious to see my dyno gains before the emange, with it and then I can get it done after the s/c stuff is done. I haven't been spanked by anyone lately, so I'm not in a hurry or anything--at least right now.

I see you haven't got the parts yet, so I'm heading to South Florida Tuesday through the weekend for New Year's fun. Again, if you need any help outside of just being a guinea pig, lemmeknow!

Cool, we might be able to make a weekend out of it then. Do a pre-SC run with and without the e-Manage. Install the SC the next day and then do runs with and without the e-Manage.

It seems that the 040 Series II as used with the 5AT are able to be sourced but still expensive unless large quantities are purchased. The newer Series III as used with the 6-Speed are harder to source but where available are less expensive.

I have tracked all parts down between two sources and am just waiting delivery times. Online Components has everything but one item and requested them to source it. That eight week lead time seems to be a standard for everyone.

That eight week lead time will kill the availbility of testing, so...

Brad, wanna send me your harnesses and I'll re-wire them and use for testing??

this could be a stupid question but might all these ECU's being swapped out contain the needed harnesses?

Yes and no. They will have the Cap (socket) but it is soldered on to the main board and would be cumbersome to remove. Plus, they probably recylce them so you would be hard pressed to get one from the dealer.

You still need the plugs and pins though.

I'll send it out today.

Be aware I have ignition chanels 5 & 6 reversed on the ignition harness going into the emanage. I'll also send the small connecter "d",... it's a seperate straight thru, and not used, but made it easier to plug the main harness in and out. It was supposed to wired straight thru on the origional frog but wasn't, so this was their way of making it right. Plugs b, c, & d are bound together in one large harness as it leaves thr ecu. Also the connector has the broken vtsol pin on it,.......

and don't make fun of my hacked up harness.

Just FYI, Greddy updated their site and seem to promote the e-Manage a little better:

hey steve you know what i thought would be super cool...we talked alittle about increasing line pressure and maybe shift points in the auto ,and that the emanage can have more than one setting for different driving conditions...how sweet would it be to have it trigger more aggressive shifts as well as the high power a/f/timing settins simply by putting the car in SS ? back to full auto and you switch to high fuel economy, soft shift mode?
