I laughed out loud at the "tork" spelling.
Really interesting results. I'll definitely be giving Xephyr a call for a CAI as soon as I get a summer job.
I'll also consider exhaust.
I'm wary of the cat because of emissions testing.

Random Technology's website does not list a specific cat for an Acura 3.2CL, Type S. Did you use one of their universal fit ones and if so, were there any installation adjustments necessary?

I think he had to modify the Accord cat. Do a search, someone listed the exact modifications that had to be performed. E-mailing the company with inquiries may help us get a CL-S/TL-S specific cat. do u have aftermarket rims or something? how come your stock dynoed only at 191 hp most of us here got around 200hp as stock and w/ headers around 225~230hp at the wheels. and suprising to see you only gained about 20 hp from the headers and exhaust. but impressive numbers for the random cat. I might have to think about that. may be I should get a random cat instead of a cai.
Only other question is, is there alot of noise level differance?

Only 20 hp with the comptech headers (assume exhaust does not help hp much if at all).. also on the stock it seems that you lost 26+%hp to the wheels (260 ---> 191.7).. but the random tech cat gave you nearly 20 hp.. that is amazing!<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">Originally posted by johntypes:

Since he did each dyno with all the parts specified plus the ones prior, the cat conv. does produce almost 20hp.

I have his dyno's at home... he is only reading the peak numbers off his dyno charts and his actual torque is around 180ft/lbs not in the 200's. Also his cat dyno's are seriously f'd and he didn't gain anywhere near 20hp from the new cat. They did a speed to hp dyno where you start from a low speed and just floor the car up until redline in 3rd gear... well the dyno reads a HUGE spike everytime the transmission changes gears... This why he thought he got 235hp with the cat. His first two torque readings are all way off because the dyno was started right as the car finished changing gears so the dyno reads part of the spike and causes his peak torque reading to be way too high.
I'll post his charts up for everyone to see when I get home... if you know how to read a dyno chart you can see what I'm talking about.

Didn't I refer to transients being misread on an earlier thread??? Human nature...we all want to have that "lottery" feeling...a major revelation. Remember, the OEM Cat of the -S is already a higher flow variant from the 225HP car.
