It's amazing that this large, pushrod engine makes power so high in the rev band. Above 6K rpm for most. Wow!

300 lb-ft of torque at 2000 rpm. Wow! No replacement for kick ass large engine displacement.

seeing the LS6 on the dyno at the Detroit auto show last year was awesome. It freaking shook the entire side of the building when it revved high... Awesome engine!

they had a couple under 340 hp at the wheels, that would suck if you got one of those

Gotta love a V8 with 300lb ft of rwtq @ 2500 rpm, and it pulls all the way to it's 6500 rpm redline. GM sure as hell knows how to make a small block pushrod V8.

That's good news... a CL-S with 5-6psi of boost can make that - sucks that the 'vette is slightly lighter

It won't make 300 tq @ 2500 at the flywheel, let alone to the wheels though.

I love LSx motors. LS6's with few bolt ons they will make close to 380-390rwhp on their stock cams.... and LS1's will make close to 360rwhp with boltons on their stock cam. Now change a Cam in both of them and u have some cars over 400rwhp on stock heads. Check my graph after changing a cam with no tunning yet... So im sure there are 15-20rwhp or so left in it. Im making power up to 6500RPM . http://www.msnusers.com/CarsRelatedG...hoto&PhotoID=5
