doors to lick when shifting out of gear.

i notice that if my car is unlocked, it will stay unlocked, no matter what gear u shift into. u have to lock the doors yourself. well is their anyway i can change that to have the doors lock automatically when i shift out of park?

thanks, when i get an answer i will delete as this has prob been asked a zillion 1/2 times.

Some aftermarket alarms can be set do this, but the OEM system won't.

well what if your at a stop light and someone tries to car jack you and u forgot to lock the doors. i think its a good feature to have. on my ga, it also came with however u wanted to set it. there were a couple features you could do.

I always forget to lock so the autolock would have been a cool feature. Fiancee's accord has it.

Although my galant had it too and I once locked the keys in while the car was on. fortunately I left the door a crack open so you could get a hanger in there and unlock the doors.

i dont live in a bad part of chicago, but i do drive all over. i dont trust anyone or any neighorhood. i have to start remembering that this car doesnt have it, after driving a car for 3 years that did.

sometimes i dont understand how less costly vehicles have some better features then more expensive cars.

for example, this autolock feature and in my grand am the monsoon system was way better then this shitty bose system.

other then that, im not complaining about anything else. i am extremely happy with my cl-s.

I got a Viper alarm, and the doors lock automatically. I have had TWO instances, one at day and one at night when sketchy dudes have run up to my car trying to open either my driver's side or passenger side door (in my Land Rover). I always lock my doors-

sometimes some co's focus on things most foreign car owners do not usually desire. kinda like gm's automatic lowering radio volume......
i found it annoying

It can be easily done. All you need is 2 relays and a little knowledge in electrical. Use starter signal for it.

My 96 Exploder does that....make that "did" that. I unprogrammed that immediately. I hate that. When you stop it doesn't unlock unless you turn off the engine. At least Ford gives you the option of undoing the deed.
