Does anyone know the size of the BOSE subwoofer....

in the TL-S? I thought it was a 6 1/2" woofer, but then I heard it was a 9" (which it doesn't sound like). Does anyone know?

It is a 9" sub. It is not a normal looking sub. It is incredibly shallow and....it sucks.

Just a guess, but if you're planning to replace it, don't bother, you'll never get any normal sub to fit in it's place. There is no room below the sub to fit it. The trunk torsion bars run underneath it.

BOSE + Subwoofer = Great Bass ????

Does not compute !!!!

Disconnect it and put a real Sub in there if you want BASS.

That's what I'm looking into doing, but NSXNEXT is the second person who said a regular sub wouldn't fit in that location. Looks like I'll just have to put them in the trunk!!

The sub is just OK.. but it is kinda a strange shape..

But hey, at least it sounds better than the CL sub.. oh wait, there isn't one in the CL is there??

Someone from the TL board, completely took out the sub, installed a 9" tube there to the trunk sub so the sound could get directed in the main cabin.. sounds alot better than just simply having a sub and hoping the sound will get through..

The tweeters and rear speakers in the deck rather than in the door...

tweeter housing. cuz we can always restore the trunk to stock by take out the aftermarket sub. If you lease a TL and put in a pair of tweeters, what option do you have???

A discussion about the relative quality of Bose speakers in a TL vs a CL is like trying to argue whether rottweiler or poodle droppings smell better. :p

yeah...tweeters for sure...you can use the stock housing to up grade the tweeters but the blowz sub is there for nothing. and the speakers on the back deck not the back door.

No highs no lows must be bose.
if it says bose on it it is a midbass driver...not a sub

the bottom line to this argument is this...
the TL sounds BETTER than the CL does stock...period....music is my life and my business and it sounds better in the TL-S...

never listened to the tl but in my moms gs 300 it sounds like ass...that fake sub in the back. i would still rather just have a cl set up and drop in a small amp and sub and be done with it.
