Does anyone else despise their CL-S

It's been awhile since my physics and dynamics courses, but the keywords are "centroid" and "contact patch"...
From : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torque_steer (note the last sentence).
Torque steer can be a problem on front wheel drive cars with higher torque motors( > 210 Nm ). This is the name given to the tendency for some front wheel drive cars to pull to the left or right under hard acceleration. It is a result of the offset between the point about which the wheel steers (which falls at a point which is aligned with the points at which the wheel is connected to the steering mechanisms) and the centroid of its contact patch. The tractive force acts through the centroid of the contact patch, and the offset of the steering point means that a turning moment about the axis of steering is generated. In an ideal situation, the left and right wheels would generate equal and opposite moments, cancelling each other out, however in reality this is less likely to happen. Torque Steer is often incorrectly attributed to differing rates of twist along the lengths of unequal front drive shafts
Here's a good article that describes how torque steer occurs (the author also suggests "keeping both hands on the wheel"):

That is such a badly writen story I dont even know what to say, Half the info in that does not even apply to tourque steer, its mostly about him braging how he named somthing , but if you really take the time to read it he is not relly talking about going in a strait line witch we all are he is talking about turning (unequal lengths in the drive train he said it himself)

just hold on to the damn steering wheel and make minor adjustments to any "torque steer" by slightly turning the wheel in the opposite direction and get over it!
fit and finish went downhill ever since they started assembling foreign cars here in the states!! so we can only blame ourselves!!

Perfectly said
i do have to agree about the rattling....even though it IS cuz of the fact you have a subwoofer, and the rattling comes hand in hand with having one...it is a bit extreme. but i dont know if thats a big enough reason to add to your "i despise my acura" list

. Most vehicles today arent FWD because its too much stress for the front wheels to turn and transfer power at the same time. This is useless to me, but maybe its just me.

No regrets on either 03 CLS 6speed I've had. Best Acura coupe since the Legends.
If I was 20 I'd probably prefer a more sporty car like a Z or G35, but at my age I want more comfort, refinement, reliability and the great shifters and engines Honda makes.
I would have never bought an automatic CLS or anything else.

Supercharger, headers, catback exhaust, low-temp thermostat. That's it.
All-season, stock size tires on stock rims.
That's far from the norm though. Some have hit 13.4 territory but none have come close to the trap speed even with intercooler, more boost, and tuning.

13.3 means you will beat my brothers WRX. very hard to believe.

he had some pretty good dyno numbers too on his boosted auto cl-s

No parting out. Kinda trying to sell my 6-speed. Just asking members here who are interested in picking one up. It isn't listed locally and I'm not in a rush to dump it.
Nothing can beat a WRX, except the 04TL 5AT I had, which beat some guy even younger than me 0-75 three times in a row. His car had to be a 5mt because they don't make auto wrx I believe. Only mods he had that I could hear was a definite BOV. Yes, I do love my CL and I cannot despise it's beauty, grace, refinement....and shit like that
The CL, Lexus SC, Legend coupe, G35 coupe, etc. are some nice sporty luxury coupes at a time when Japanese automakers are just recently starting to turn towards performance AND luxury coupes. I'm not discounting the old Z (or the new Z), but the G35 is luxury edition. Nor am I discounting Supra, 3000GT, RX7, or anything else; but after that race with the WRX, the look on his face was priceless when I rolled down the window to reveal the plush interior and navi...
I hope you keep the CL because it is in a fairly elite class on the road and can be admired by people of all ages, not just teenagers and speed freaks.
Side note: 13.3 is very quick for an auto cls, even if it is sc'ed. 13.3 is not quick for a wrx, unless it is running stock psi turbo and just H/I/E that probably isn't too bad. There are sube's in the 11's though for sure, maybe lower.

You can't really say a WRX can beat anything either. That's just not reality.
Where are you at in Denver, NightRider??
Sorry, that came out wrong in my post. I was going off of the mrsteve sarcastic comment -
"Ah yes because nothing can beat a WRX!" Yes, lots of cars can beat a TL or WRX for sure. My name is Robert, I live in Arvada and work in Boulder at big blue.

About the rattle in the rear shelf:
I fixed mine by stuffing an old T-shirt in the right place, from the trunk. No disassembly required. Still working great.
BTW, I hate my CL-S, too, from the first week after buying it brand new. It's a POS. (I thought an Acura would be like a Honda. Ha!)
