Idk what happen to my factory bose system but it doesn't play right anymore my passenger door speakers are completely out and my rear passenger side speaker is out they won't play basically jus the driver side works but the rear driver side sound a lil distorted before they went out the sound was flickering from left to right I do have a pre-installed aftermarket head unit before I bought still using it and everything else is stock I originally kept having a problem with my aftermarket subwoofer I installed it kept blowing out I'm jus mad that I don't even have my factory sound anymore

if you have several add ons (sub, head unit) then why not upgrade speakers. all you need is a front stage and a sub, remove rear speakers.

I was comfortable with the bose speakers but I thought about upgrading before but I couldn't find the bose speakers stock rating and when I was Tryin to look for the serial number I noticed the speakers have Clio connectors so that really steered me away

I find Bose 6x9's on 1G/2G CL's pretty consistently at my local junkyard, check around you or use car-part.com. I've even seen them pop up on eBay.

I know nothing about car audio, or audio in general for that matter, but it seems a bit illogical to want to buy speakers that are 12 years old at the youngest instead of even the cheapest of the decent brand speakers available today. Is there really that big of a difference?

My car has the factory system and my speakers sound good but I have no clue if they are original. If I needed to replace them I'd go to sonix or any discount audio store and get the best new ones I could afford.

On a side note I can't even hear the door tweeters unless the doors are open

Still have my oem speakers in storage if you want them for the cost of shipping. Otherwise they will just get thrown out.

Me too! Since 2002 I've been waiting for a suitable mark to pay me what those Bloses are really worth.
So that will be 50 cents, please....!

Go aftermarket put some nice quality speakers in. My bose speakers sound great but idk if I want to blast them too loud and maybe blow them.
