Dodge V10 500hp Motorcycle (concept)

Chrysler Group Chief Operating Officer Wolfgang Bernhard motors along the stage aboard the brand-new Dodge Tomahawk V-10, 8.3-liter (505 cubic inch) concept motorcycle at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit on January 6, 2003. The Tomahawk features four-wheel independent suspension, and the superbike's engine, borrowed from the Viper sports car, can propel the it at speeds of nearly 400 mph. Photo by Rebecca Cook/Reuters

I don't like it.
why would a person need 500 HP on a cycle. even in a a 500 HP is insane but in a cycle that's stupid. My dad has 90 Goldwing 1500 cc with 6 cylinder 6 carbs. and he's a pretty big guy (6 ft 280 lbs) and i'm a little bigger (6 ft 4 300 lbs) we both rode(he drove as i rode on the back) up a pretty steep hill(this was in June) he ran 70 up that hill like it was nothing. so to me anything more than 2000 cc is foolish. cause all that V-10 is gonna do is either kill the rider or chug gas.

I read that yesterday but I could not find a picture. Then the forum went down for the night. Interesting though. A surprise move by Dodge.

Ya, I was a bit shocked to see it myself. At 1st I was thinking it's Dodge's version of a BossHoss bike. But they certainly have made it something quite unique.

I dug up a few more pics...

I would never ride this thing. Take a look at how close the V10 engine is to your "precious" part. Imaging what a blown engine will do to you... OUCH!!

Forget the blown engine...Dodge's don't blow...er..wait..nevermind. Read about how hot that engine gets in the Viper, they say that even top down and A/C on the cabin is still warm(I'm sure that a lot has to do with poorly insulated exhaust pipes, but still)...ok...now straddle that same engine. Fried Oysters anyone?

The the engine and door panels get so hot in the wiper that they cooked eggs and bacon on it. Imagine sitting on that thing. Dodge has to be joking becuz that hog will never make production and is a waste of time.
