Dodge Stratus RT: Need info please
Guys,
I have recently been downsized (I really am starting to hate corporate America); and must water down my tastes somewhat. It seems the Stratus RT is a nice, cheaper alternative to the CL. I am wondering if there are any sites like this one out there for it. Also, is there any aftermarket for it at all out there?
Anything you can tell me would be great. Thanks!

IIRC the R/T runs in the $23k range.
Personally, I'd rather have an RSX or Tiburon V6, but anyway ...
When the car first came out, I did a lot of lurking on the Edmunds boards for the R/T. Their initial quality left a lot to be desired. However, seeing as this is the second year of production, perhaps DC got the bugs worked out. I would DEFINITELY go to Edmunds and read/ask for impressions about ownership.
If a used car is viable, I'm sure you could find a nice CL-P with an extended warranty for $23-24k, which would be a much nicer experience in the long run for you IMO.
The old Avengers dropped in resale like an anvil. If the current car is like that, you'll be upside down til payments 49-60 ...

I am considerign this car as well. I didn't drive it yet, but I have experience with the 3g Eclipe, which this car is based on. The quality has been flawless. The 3.0 is smooth and torquey. The interior seems to offer nice space, but is constructed from plastic. It's not bad plastic, but plastic nonetheless. I think it's a gorgeous car, and from my experience with the Mitsu, the quality is up there with Honda. I'm set to drive the car on Saturday, so I'll post my impressions after I've spent some time with the car.

As a former member, try asog.com. This is the only group I know of for the Sebring/Avenger/Stratus coupes. The other one statusphere.com is for the Stratus/Sebring/Curris/Breeze sedans and convertable.
Aftermarket is ok for the coupes, since they are based off the Mitsu Eclipse
Hope this helps
