Its possible...
I was looking into getting a seat repaired in my old bimmer and at this BMW Junk yard I met this guy that specialized in leather seat repair. I watched him work on a few seats, and I must say the stuff was interesting.
I would've done it but the guy was charging like $450 for a seat and he said he would do an entire interior for $800 like it was some kind of deal.
I searched and found a matching seat skin in the junk yard and paid around $70 for it. Worked out great, and the seat looked like new again.
So, I would say the stuff works, I just don't know if that's the same product that this guy was using.
