With my Clifford I can have it lock either when I start the car, put the car in drive, or when it gets to a certain RPM.

is there any way to reprogram the FOB or whatever it is on our alarm/car. i've heard some is300 (gasp!) owners say that some dealerships have been able to reprogram the car to have autolocks, autowindows, or some other stuff to that effect. BS?

I'm sooooooo glad the CL doesn't do this. Kinda cheesy to me. If the option to turn it on or off, that's ok but when you start driving and the doors lock automatically?

90% of the time the only door that in unlocked is the driver's door (i.e. you never unlocked the passenger door upon entry). This is a two-door vehicle so you can just reach over and lock your own door long before you even start moving. Just so you know, my door is always locked while I am driving by habit.

No, it doesn't and I hate that option. How dumb to lock you in and when you stop unlock your door. What if you don't want it to unlock? No big brother, thank you.

I'm with you. I always lock the car when moving. Heck, its not like we can't reach the door lock. Good habits require repetition...
As for the autolock -- I would be figuring out how to turn it off (JMHO)

I heard that on the Audi cars you can have the dealer program the windows or locks and things. I don't want to lock the doors but opening the windows from a distance like my friends Max would be cool in the summer.

HELL NO....I hate those things.
If our car had them, it would have been the first fuse that got pulled the day after I bought the car.
