Do I need an alignment?
I recently had new tires put on the stock CLS wheels, size 225/45/17. Do I need, or is it recommended to get an alignment done when you replace the tires just to ensure you get the best wear? The car feels fine and tracks straight. No wheel or suspension modifications done, just new tires. I have searched through past posts regarding alignments, but haven't really found whether or not it would be warranted in this situation. Thanks.

Where is my super sauce?
Most suggest that the time when you get new tires is a good time to get an alignment to maintain those tires.
That being said, the tires themselves don't alter suspension alignment, and if you car was already aligned it should be OK. If things seem fine and I were you, I'd see how the tires wear at the first rotation and go from there.
So: Recommended? Yes. Needed? No.
