do i have a bad rack and pinion?
so i lowered my car and after driving it today i noticed when i drysteer the car makes a clunk sound right when u turn as if it's the teeth in the rack that are making the noise, I checked for were the noise is coming from and it's dead center in the rack area.
is this normal or do i need a new rack an pinion... please let me know.

i got in my mothers car (07 accord) and brothers car (01 prelude) and both make the same noise as what i am describing when u dry steer.
but my question now is... why wold the noise be prevalent now that i lowered my car? and before it was quite?
is it just the stiffness and height of everything now that is causing it or what?

i also noticed that i get a bit of a clunk noise when going over certain bumps from the rear of the car. after looking at everything i noticed the moog end links rub on the strut body of my coilovers since they are so beefy. is this a common thing to happen?
i was thinking of shaving a little off the strut but opted not to cause i didn't wanna jeprodize the strut 1 and 2 it actually adds support to the shitty metal bracket that holds the top end of the link.
so i guess i just gotta live with it? or?

no leaks or play in the steering at all.. just started making this noise right after lowering.
as for the caster my radius rod bushing was installed pinched on one side so it's pushed the wheel back in the wheel well so i am going to loosen, reposition and retighten soon and that'll fix it up

i doubt it. the car drives just as it always has... just tweaking the and alignment today.
my right front caster was 1.8 vs 2.6 on the front drivers side so I checked everything and found my radius rod bushing on the front right was pinched somewhat so i loosened it up and used a flat head to fold the sides of the bushing into where it should be which think brought it back to at least 2.1 (so i think)
after doing this I measured the wheels from edge to edge on both sides and came up with the exact same measurement. so in theory it should be perfect... since on the alignment sheet the rears were 100% mint all around. so i know if i measure them vs the front then that'll give me a good estimate on the caster
So i think i solved that issue.
I am just trying to figure out if the wheel is off or if the car is more suseptable to road crown counter-steer due to the lowering. cause it looks like the wheel is off by a fraction like one-two degrees. i may just recenter the steering wheel using the center bolt in the steering column if this next alignment doesn't fix it. that's what I did last time to make it 100%. maybe have to go for round 2
