Do I get 18" or 19" Inspyres....

Can't decide. I'm about to place an order for 18" or 19" Chrome inspyre rims. I can't decide if I want 18's or 19's. Either will look good. I'm thinkin 18" because lesser price for rims and tires. I thought of 19" because, I've never had 19's, and it looks sweet. So ya I'm in a dilemma.

other mods, please dont put this in wheels and tires, I want it in here because I know more members will see it, thanks.

235/35/19 wil make it ride liek a dream and still look better than 18". The only thing that really is a factor at this point is the difference in cost.

I just got a set of 19" chrome inspyres and let me tell you, they ride just like i got my stock wheels. No difference infact i think it feels better and the funny thing is, the tires have to almost be changed. I imagine when i buy new tire.

Definitely go with 19" its worth is and its a little more but it will look better

Do you have more pics of your TL I can see? Also how much did you drop it? What did you mean by "the funny thing is, the tires have to almost be changed"?

I got 2 used falken in good condition for 120 from RON.
Depends where you look, here in the bronx you can always find a set used for a good price. Also i meant the tires almost have to be replaced

It depends soo much on the tire its not funny. Shouldn't be more than a 200-300 difference though. Toyo T1-Rs are 186 for 19" tires and 155 for 18" tires just for comparisons sake. They're pretty good summer tires as well.

As for ride comfort, I've riden in Rondys car with the 19s and I have the 18s and you can't tell the difference in size when it comes to harshness of the ride. The 19s will wheigh a little more, but unless you race the car you won't notice the difference since they are fairly close to the weight of stock wheels (the silver ones at least, chrome adds a little weight).

If I had to do it again, I would probably get the 19s. The 18s look great, but I think the 19s are a perfect size, not too small, not too big.

then again you dont buy tires every two weeks either, so a 250 dollar sacrifice every year or whatever isnt bad at all.

Hey, Mike, go 19's, man! Also, if you want a great tire at a great price, check out www.tirerack.com for General Exclaim UHP's. They have 235/35/19's for $121/ea. I have them on my stockies and love them. I plan to get a set for my 19's as well.

Ive got Rondys used 19" Inspyres sitting in my basement waiting to be put on with his bodykit and an eibach prokit drop.
I would def go for 19's, they looked great on his car!

Has anyone tried to change the RJ centercaps? I know they are interchangable on the devotions 1-pfs for Acura ones...Im going to the sign store in my town today to see if they can custom make me ones.

I never notice it with my 19's. Actually, the car felt a little lighter on it's feet with the 19's. Might just be because the tires suck though.

Aren't the RJ's lighter than stock or about the same anyway?

The cast 18s are the same weight as the stock wheels. The 19s are a little more than stock.

The forged ones on the other hand are mad light compared to stock

i'm in the same boat as you mike, i'm debating between 18s and 19s
- 19s definitely look better, but tires are a little harder to find and more expensive
- 18s look good, will ride about like stock, but there's still a decent profile in the tires

Personally, i'm really not sure what size to go with either, but i'm not a big fan of chrome wheels on a silver car, so i'm leaning away from that. I have always like ths Inspyres, but there's also a couple other wheels that're on my list to check out. It seems like most of the people on here say 19s, which definitely look great on the car, but it's still a hard decision.

Yeah, I'm in no rush, just excited to order them. I'll spend the weekend thinking about it. 18's are def big enough, but be sweet to get 19's!
