Did comptech exhaust improve anyone's 1/4-mile times?

I've read thru ALL the threads i found using the search about this topic, but none really addressed this topic specifically.

The consensus is that only about 1-3hp are added across the board w/ the exhaust, and that they really don't do much for performance .. however, at the TRACK, talking w/ guys that had CT exhaust, they claim the CT mufflers DID drop their ET's ..

what's the word on this?

axle back will almost never produce gains and in some cases may actually give you negative gains.

dont get it. If you hated the ride with the comptech springs then you will for sure hate the sound of the comptech droning.

Comptechs are good for looks and sound. I wouldn't expect it to shave any time off your 1/4 mile.

What he said. 1-3hp wouldn't take any time off your quarter mile unless you were driving with a tailwind....

If you are the person bidding on ebay I would warn you that these mufflers look like a scam. The guy posted this auction last night with full pics of the front and back of the exhaust. Since then he deleted his original auction and started this new one with cropped pics that don't show the axle back pipes. Sounds a little fishy to me.

Here's the seller's reply to my question:

Question:
Why are the front of the mufflers cut off? They should be bolt on.

Answer:
Yeah...the people at the muffler shop didn't take the time to see that they were bolt on. They can be welded on really easily. It is still way cheaper to buy them at this price and weld them on than to buy them brand new.

Sounds fishy...

those flanges are bolted on right? it looks like oneside is and i assume the other is also. just break off the bolts and it should disconnect after some attitude adjustment

I have HEARD that the CT exhaust will make your power delivery smoother if you have headers. I read it here somewhere awhile ago.
