Denso Observations
Out of curiosity I purchased the IK20 (Thanks Tim) and installed them last night. Although I didn't expect nor did I notice any improvement in power, it doesn't hurt when I'm pushing 16k miles.
But that was not the point. I recall a post about someone stating their IK20s were gapped at 0.033 and asked Denso about regapping them?? Mine all checked in at the factory spec of 0.040. Anyone else check their gap prior to install??
This install was almost a pleasure after my last two vehicles. The GTP with its pushrod engine has the plugs in the side of the heads, between the exhaust manifold ports. Being a transverse layout the front weren't too bad but the rears were painful. It had to be done by feel alone... The previous to that the Typhoon with the down pipe and steering linkage in the way on either side of the engine. The CL-S took a whole 10 - 15 minutes whereas I had been spending over an hour. Maintaining these vehicles is much easier!!
