Debadging NOW... need help....
Hi everyone, I'm a bit bored right now so I figured I'd go finish up my de-badging job on the CL. Basically, I got the nasty dirty encrusted glue spelling out ACURA and 3.2CLTYpeS on my trunk. I have a bottle of goo gone. What now? Just pour on and wipe off with a bath towel? i don' twnat to scratch the paint.
water or no water? Do I really need wax? And I have no glue gun.

what i ended up doing was to masking tape a good gone soaked piece of paper towel to each letter. let it sit 5-10 minutes and then use a clean soft towel/shop rag. took me about 2 hours to do my trunk ... but they're off

debadging
What worked for me the best was using a hairdryer (to warm up the sticky on the back of the emblem) and then carefully going under it with dental floss. I also used goo gone, but do it under the shade so it doesn't jack your back and frustrate you. It'll take some time too, and then when it's all off, use a little soap and water for the finish. To take off that annoying tape, just use a combination of goo gone first and then use soap and water.

Just make sure you don't rub the paper towel against the paint 'cause that'll definitely scratch it. soak it with goo gone and make sure the towel is very soft. heating the emblems before taking them off should loosen most of the glue and most of it will come off with the emblem. There are a few other chemicals that you can use if you know any detailers, they'll prolly get the glue off for free(and w/ no scratches).
