Debadgeing #@$cking super glue!!!

I decided to debadge my car today.....Got off the ACURA letters and glue no problem. Then I take off the 3.2 and type S emblem and they appear to have been put on with superglue. It looks to be mixed/under the soft greyish glue that held on the letters. Its hard as five day old dog shit in the dead of summer. Clear in color and it took a little of my paint off with the emblem, actually two paint chips. So I am either going to have to put the 3.2 and type S emblem back on or: I need a suggestion what will dissolve this super glue.I am going to have to fix the paint anyways. If I cant get the glue off I'm stuck with the emblems
I tried goof off already. Ideas!!

I love the completely debaged look so I really dont want to glue them back on. I tried acetone also but not the other stuff. I used goof off not goo gone. Are they not the same stuff more or less. I think the glue is cured to the paint. May try wetsanding carefully and look up some DIY's on fixing paint.

Go to a local Sign shop, they have chemicals that will make the glue almost SLuggish, but then it can be removed and will not wreck your clear coat....

No, but one time I got some of that expandable foam insulation on my fingers.
You know that stuff that comes in a can and expands?
Once that shit sets up it CANNOT be removed.

WD40 did the trick.

How do I get foam off of my skin?

If the foam has not cured or hardened, use acetone or fingernail polish remover (with acetone). If the foam has hardened, there is no solvent that will remove it. It will not harm your skin and will wear off in several days. To remove cured foam from skin, use a pumice stone (available at most drug stores) and warm, soapy water. Then apply petroleum jelly.

Goo Gone. Do not use acetone, it will mess up your paint if you don't do it just right.

Or do what I did....get rear-ended, it a pain in the ass, but quite effective.

Not to hijack, but I leaned against some of this stuff when I was sealing my utility closet. Ruined a pair of jeans and a t-shirt - not fun.

Hey why not I tried everything else. I'll just back into someone at a stop light and say they hit me or maybe, I can back into a telephone pole and turn it into the insurance company No wait then I hafta pay. Meh I guess the emblems are going back on. Went to two body shops and a auto body paint supplier and they all said nothing would soften it up. Anyone know the best glue to use?? :polf: Oh well thanks guys.
