Hey Lance. You're located in Clearwater as in Florida, correct? I'd love to see that CL sometime and get some pictures of it since I'm a photographer.

Also wanted to throw it out there that my friend Rafael (rafnunez) bought a full rebuild kit that properly fixes all the issues with the CL transmission. I don't believe he's installed it yet, but if you had a sound transmission and installed the rebuild kit with a transmission cooler, I'm sure you'd be fine.

The swap should actually be fairly easy because even swapping in my manual engine assembly was easy. The only advice I can offer easily is the the transmission does wrap under the frame. So without pulling the whole engine, you would most definitely have to remove the transmission from the bottom. But I'm sure you could do the job in a matter of three days max. Heck I could do it in three days haha.
